Square One:

Children's Ministry

Welcome to the Children’s Ministry at Christ Community Church! At Square One we strive to love children as they discover and live out their role in God’s story. Every Sunday we offer children’s programming during the 10:45 service for ages birth-fifth grade. We closely follow The Gospel Project curriculum through Lifeway Publishing which takes children on a chronological journey through the Bible.  Every age group from age two through fifth grade focuses on the same story each week with each age group digging a little deeper into the story.  Each Sunday parents and children can expect a secure environment with stories, games, crafts, and other activities all focused on helping children experience the gospel.

At about the same time, the disciples came to Jesus asking, “Who gets the highest rank in God’s kingdom?”  For an answer Jesus called over a child, whom he stood in the middle of the room and said, “I’m telling you, once and for all, that unless you return to square one and start over like children, you’re not even going to get a look at the kingdom, let alone get in.  Whoever becomes simple and elemental again, like this child, will rank high in God’s kingdom.  What’s more, when you receive the childlike on my account, it’s the same as receiving me."

family worship sunday

Each first Sunday of the month we celebrate a family worship Sunday! We will continue to offer Square One classrooms for children under 4 years of age, but the remainder of  our kids will worship with us in the main sanctuary. This will provide the opportunity for families to worship together on a regular basis and will give our volunteers a needed break.
